Strawberry Hill Residents Association (SHRA) is a lively and busy organisation involved in many issues that affect the lives of local people. SHRA is non-political. The Association frequently meets local councillors, council officers and members of local groups to represent the views of residents.
The Association was formed in 1965 and over the years has campaigned on many subjects from road safety to urging improvements to Strawberry Hill station. SHRA seeks to ensure that Strawberry Hill continues to be a pleasant riverside village – despite the roar of cars and aircraft.
New issues constantly arise. Over-development, traffic and parking are some of the most recent concerns. At the same time the association seeks to encourage local shops to flourish.
Everyone who lives within the area of Strawberry Hill is a member of the Association and receives a copy of the thrice-yearly Bulletin with news of recent developments, issues we have taken up on your behalf and events to come. Strawberry Hill, except for parts of Waldegrave Park and all of Fieldend, lies within the administrative boundary of South Twickenham Ward.
The SHRA Committee meets on average six times a year. New Committee members are always welcome. Please contact us.
