SHRA aims to promote community spirit in Strawberry Hill. This is the principal goal behind our organisation of events. Over the years we have held many different kinds of events, but the current pattern is to hold three major events a year:
A social evening for residents including the Annual General Meeting (usually held at the end of April at Strawberry Hill Golf Club);
A summer picnic (held in partnership with Strawberry Hill House & Gardens in June/July);
Carols in the Village when the Christmas tree is decorated and carols are sung (usually the first Friday in December at Wellesley Parade);
Forthcoming events for 2025/2026
To find out what events are coming up, please view the SHRA calendar here.

We aim to cover our costs through the generosity of our business sponsors. We also contribute to the Mayor’s charities at Christmas and to support Strawberry Hill House via the picnics.
Over recent years we have tried other events which bring residents and members of the SHRA Committee together including: Supper Talks at the Royal British Legion; Anniversary Picnic in Radnor Gardens; BBQ in partnership with Radnor Gardens Café; book launch at Strawberry Hill House.
The Radnor Gardens War Memorial is also the site for the annual Twickenham Remembrance Day Parade and Service. This brings large numbers of people into the Gardens and SHRA was invited to present a wreath in 2025. Following the service a celebratory gathering is held at the Royal British Legion in Pope’s Grove.
