History

SHRA was founded in 1965 by a group of local residents who objected to a scheme to drive a major highway through the middle of Strawberry Hill. The initial meeting in St James’ Hall in Radnor Road, which over 300 people attended, set up the Strawberry Hill Residents’ Association. Funding & Subscriptions

All adult residents of Strawberry Hill are members of the Association.  The work of SHRA is funded through subscriptions of £5-10 per household and donations. There are also supporters who actively assist in the work of SHRA, e.g. litter pickers, or, attend meetings.  We are also grateful for business supporters who regularly sponsor our events.  Find out how you can become a subscriber and supporter of SHRA.

Policies

SHRA like other voluntary associations has a series of policy statements which set out guidelines on how we operate. Currently these cover: code of conduct for Committee members; data protection; equal opportunities; and health and safety.
